{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.32-166","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.32-166","heading":"Coverage for services of licensed psychologist or licensed clinical social","body":"worker.\nEvery policy, contract, or plan issued, delivered, or renewed in this state by a nonprofit\nhospital, medical-surgical, dental, or health service corporation which pr ovides coverage\nfor services performed by a licensed psychologist pursuant to KRS Chapter 319, or a\nlicensed clinical social worker pursuant to KRS Chapter 335, shall be deemed to provide\nbenefits for those services regardless of provider profession. If th e policy, contract, or\nplan permits, payment may be made directly to the provider of the services. If the policy,\ncontract, or plan does not permit, the person entitled to these benefits shall be entitled to\nreimbursement for the cost of services received.  Nothing in this section shall require a\npolicy issued by a nonprofit hospital, medical -surgical, dental or health service\ncorporation which places the insured within a preferred or exclusive provider\narrangement to cover services by a provider with whom t he insurer does not have a\ncontract, or to make payment of or reimbursement for the cost of any services which\nexceeds the limits of the policy.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=29794","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:54Z","sha256":"155b7c6b55232c7d777789818d64a1cc13a621eab75becd2c87952b0dccfada9","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.32-165","next":"us-ky/krs-304.32-170"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
