{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.38-1933","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.38-1933","heading":"Coverage for services of licensed psychologist or licensed clinical social","body":"worker.\nEvery policy, contract, agreement, or certificate entered into, issued or delivered by a\nhealth maintenance organization which provides coverage for services perfor med by a\nlicensed psychologist pursuant to KRS Chapter 319, or a licensed clinical social worker\npursuant to KRS Chapter 335, shall be deemed to provide benefits for those services\nregardless of provider profession. If the policy, contract, or agreement pe rmits, payment\nmay be made directly to the provider of the services. If the policy, contract, or agreement\ndoes not permit, the person entitled to these benefits shall be entitled to reimbursement\nfor the cost of services received. Nothing in this section shall require a policy issued by a\nhealth maintenance organization which places the insured within a preferred or exclusive\nprovider arrangement to cover services by a provider with whom the insurer does not\nhave a contract, or to make payment of or reimbu rsement for the cost of any service\nwhich exceeds the limits of the policy.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=29992","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:56Z","sha256":"20ba4cd91d21c47d8b5128c444666c40d25dbb07ffdd87c06283e4f877baf367","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.38-193","next":"us-ky/krs-304.38-1934"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
