{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.39-180","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.39-180","heading":"Time for presenting claims under assigned claims plan.","body":"(1) Except as provided in subsection (2), a person authorized to obtain basic reparation\nbenefits through the assigned claims plan shall notify the bureau of his claim within\nthe time that would have been allowed for commencing an action for those benefits\nif there had been identifiable coverage in effect and applicable to the claim.\n(2) If timely action for basic reparation benefits is commenced against a reparation\nobligor who is unable to fulfill his obligations because of financial inability, a\nperson auth orized to obtain basic reparation benefits through the assigned claims\nplan shall notify the bureau of his claim within six (6) months after discovery of the\nfinancial inability.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=30047","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:57Z","sha256":"35ecade4c3d2e607c5ca40bdf67e2d9216fbb65916a448aab591fee0ade91a14","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.39-170","next":"us-ky/krs-304.39-190"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
