{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.40-070","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.40-070","heading":"Application for, and issuance of, medical malpractice insurance","body":"coverage.\n(1) Any licensed physician, hospital, or other licensed health care provider shall, on or\nafter the effective date of the plan of operation, be entitled to apply to the\nassociation for medical malpractice insurance coverage.  Such application may be\nmade on behalf of an applicant by an agent authorized by the applicant.\n(2) If the association determines that the applicant meets the underwriting standards of\nthe association as  prescribed in the plan of operation and there is no unpaid,\nuncontested premium due from the applicant for prior insurance, then the\nassociation, upon receipt of the premium or such portion thereof as is prescribed in\nthe plan of operation, shall cause to  be issued a policy of medical malpractice\ninsurance.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=30073","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:57Z","sha256":"aab3325d5773dbf3a3b3e2771e8c640e1565da16efb8414bb2ed5f4762d71ab0","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.40-060","next":"us-ky/krs-304.40-075"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
