{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.44-010","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.44-010","heading":"Definitions for subtitle.","body":"As used in this subtitle, unless the context requires otherwise:\n(1) \"Department\" means the Department of Insurance;\n(2) \"Mine subsidence\" means the collapse of underground coal mines resulting in direct\ndamage to a structure. It does not include loss caus ed by earthquake, landslide,\nwater seepage, volcanic eruption, or collapse of storm, and sewer drains;\n(3) \"Mine subsidence insurance fund\" or \"fund\" means the fund established by this\nsubtitle and administered as determined by the department;\n(4) \"Policy\" means a contract of insurance providing mine subsidence insurance;\n(5) \"Premium\" means the gross rate charged policyholders for insurance provided by\nthis subtitle;\n(6) \"Structure\" means any dwelling, building, or fixture permanently affixed to realty,\nbut does not include land, trees, plants, or crops; and\n(7) \"Administrator\" means the organization designated by the commissioner of the\ndepartment to administer the fund.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=30140","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:58Z","sha256":"67249f30e61e539effa1860b8a05652fce63695dea675da40d8e00290bae13f7","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.438","next":"us-ky/krs-304.44-020"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
