{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.47-025","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.47-025","heading":"Felony offense involving dishonesty or breach of trust -- Fraudulent","body":"insurance act -- Penalties.\n(1) Any person who has been convicted of any felony offense involving dishonesty or a\nbreach of trust, or who has been convicted of a fraudulent insura nce act under this\nsubtitle, and who knowingly engages or participates in the business of insurance in\nthis Commonwealth, shall be guilty of a Class D felony.\n(2) Any insurer that knowingly permits the participation in the business of insurance in\nthis Com monwealth by a person who has been convicted of any felony offense\ninvolving dishonesty or a breach of trust, or who has been convicted of a fraudulent\ninsurance act under this subtitle, shall be guilty of a criminal violation.\n(3) Any person who has been convicted of any felony offense involving dishonesty or a\nbreach of trust, or who has been convicted of a fraudulent insurance act under this\nsubtitle, may engage in the business of insurance in this Commonwealth if he or she\nhas received written consent f rom the commissioner, and that consent specifically\nrefers to this subsection.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=30183","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:59Z","sha256":"ce43ebfdece3bd6b3fe7f67155f5e1f329c1f24acee1ea61d5df6994e02ddcda","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.47-020","next":"us-ky/krs-304.47-030"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
