{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.5-155","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.5-155","heading":"Insurers authorized to reinsure -- Applicability of section.","body":"(1) An authorized insurer may reinsure its risks, or any part of its risks, in any insurer\nauthorized to do business in this state, in any other state of the United States, or in\nthe District of Columbia, or in any alien insurer.\n(2) An authorized insurer may reinsure an insurer eligible for export pursuant to\nSubtitle 10 of KRS Chapter 304, in whole or in part, as to property and casualty\ninsurance policies which principally contemplate performance in Kentucky or as to\nsuch policies the principal subjects of risk of which are located in Kentucky.\n(3) The provisions of this section shall apply to reinsurance agreements which have had\nan inception, anniversary, or renewal date on or after January 1, 2005.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=16768","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:38Z","sha256":"f9f9a2361215e1cc8c7e4142f2dd81cce1b1684f1ce61d64e95da3d561a1f0bc","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.5-150","next":"us-ky/krs-304.5-160"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
