{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.52-060","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.52-060","heading":"Licensed persons who may handle travel insurance without adjuster","body":"license -- Insurer's responsibility.\n(1) A person holding a managing general agent license or an administrator license in\nthis state, or an insurance agent licensed in this state with property and casualty\nlines of authority for activities permitted under that license, may directly or\nindirectly underwrite, collect charges, collateral, or premiums from, or adjust or\nsettle claims without an adjuster license on residents of th is state, in connection\nwith travel insurance.\n(2) An insurer is responsible for:\n(a) The acts of a managing general agent, administrator, or licensed insurance\nagent administering travel insurance underwritten by the insurer; and\n(b) Ensuring that the managing general agent, administrator, or licensed insurance\nagent maintains all books and records relevant to the insurer, which shall be\nmade available by the managing general agent, administrator, or licensed\ninsurance agent to the commissioner upon request.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=50980","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:00Z","sha256":"f06baa9aa99e1273fce6a5cea7636d6b272e7150760470bcec936bfe8b0981dd","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.52-050","next":"us-ky/krs-304.52-070"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
