{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.9-030","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.9-030","heading":"Available insurance agent licenses.","body":"(1) Unless denied a license according to KRS 304.9 -440, applicants who have met the\nrequirements for the license in accordance with this subtitle, shall be issued the\napplicable license.\n(2) An insurance agent may receive qualification for a license in one (1)  or more of the\nfollowing applicable lines of authority:\n(a) Life -- insurance coverage on human lives including benefits of endowment\nand annuities, and may include benefits in the event of death or\ndismemberment by accident, benefits for disability incom e, and benefits for\npaid family leave;\n(b) Health -- insurance coverage for sickness, bodily injury, or accidental death\nand may include benefits for disability income and benefits for paid family\nleave;\n(c) Property -- insurance coverage for the direct or  consequential loss or damage\nto property of every kind;\n(d) Casualty -- insurance coverage against legal liability, including that for death,\ninjury, or disability, or damage to real or personal property;\n(e) Variable life and variable annuity products -- insurance coverage provided\nunder variable life insurance contracts and variable annuities;\n(f) Limited line insurance as identified in KRS 304.9-230;\n(g) Personal lines -- property and casualty insurance coverage sold to individuals\nand families for primarily noncommercial purposes; and\n(h) Any other line of insurance authorized by Kentucky law and deemed by the\ncommissioner appropriate to be issued as a separate line of authority.\n(3) A resident applicant for a variable life and variable annuities line of authority shall\nhold an active life line of authority.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=54522","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:40Z","sha256":"5bfa6e45e12a57e9e86af90c319f7977e7f21b4b507dd907d6dc60456579c2d4","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.9-020","next":"us-ky/krs-304.9-035"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
