{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.9-107","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.9-107","heading":"Persons exempt from provisions of KRS 304.9 -105(1)(e)1. and 2. --","body":"Administrative regulations.\n(1) The following persons shall be exempt from the prelicensing course of study\nrequirements for specific lines of authority of KRS 304.9-105(1)(e)1.:\n(a) Persons holding a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation for a life\nline of authority;\n(b) Persons holding a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)\ndesignation for property, personal lines, and casualty lines of authority;\n(c) Persons hol ding a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation for life,\nhealth, property, personal lines, and casualty lines of authority;\n(d) Persons holding a designation as a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist\n(CEBS), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Certified Financial Planner\n(CFP), Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI), or Life Underwriter\nTraining Council Fellow (LUTCF) for a life line of authority;\n(e) Persons holding a designation as a Registered Health Underwriter (RHU),\nCertified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), Registered Employee Benefit\nConsultant (REBC), or Health Insurance Advisor (HIA) for a health line of\nauthority;\n(f) Persons holding a designation as an Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) or\nAssociate in Risk Management (A RM) for property, personal lines, and\ncasualty lines of authority; and\n(g) Persons holding an insurance degree from an accredited college or university\nfor all lines of authority.\n(2) The commissioner may promulgate administrative regulations to specify ad ditional\ndesignations and degrees for exemption from a prelicensing course of study for\nspecified lines of authority to comply with NAIC uniformity standards.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=16899","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:40Z","sha256":"75a70f6ba3159943b7452fd9285d6df8ccdd81bdcb5a3f4d015c1b889a7b502d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.9-105","next":"us-ky/krs-304.9-110"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
