{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.9-200","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.9-200","heading":"Contents of license -- Change of address -- Refundability of fees.","body":"For licenses issued under this subtitle or to a surplus lines broker, life settlement broker,\nor life settlement provider:\n(1) The license shall contain the licensee's name,  city and state of principal place of\nbusiness address, personal identification number, and the date of issuance, the lines\nof authority, and any other information the commissioner deems necessary;\n(2) The licensee shall inform the commissioner in writing in a format acceptable to the\ncommissioner of a change of address or change of legal name within thirty (30)\ndays of the change;\n(3) (a) After completion of application for a license, completion of any prelicensing\neducation required under this chapter, pa yment of applicable fees, and the\ntaking and passing of any examination required under this chapter, the\ncommissioner shall promptly consider the application.\n(b) If the commissioner finds that the applicant has fully met the requirements for\nlicensure, the commissioner shall promptly issue the license to the applicant;\notherwise, the commissioner shall refuse to issue the license and promptly\nnotify the applicant of the refusal, stating the grounds thereof;\n(4) All application and examination fees shall be  deemed earned when paid and shall\nnot be refundable if a license is refused; and\n(5) In order to assist in the performance of the commissioner's duties, the commissioner\nmay contract with nongovernmental entities, including the National Association of\nInsurance Commissioners or its affiliate or subsidiary, to perform ministerial\nfunctions, including the collection of fees or data related to licensing.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57332","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:40Z","sha256":"04b23058afc694a17b0a69cd14d7f202c7c61735c0718883f734acf14fcea6b2","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.9-190","next":"us-ky/krs-304.9-210"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
