{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.9-390","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.9-390","heading":"Place of agent's business -- Display of licenses -- Records.","body":"(1) Every individual and business entity issued a license with Kentucky as its home\nstate shall have and maintain in this state a place of business accessible to the\npublic, and wherein the licensee principally conducts transactions under his or her\nlicense. This provision shall not be deemed to prohibit maintenance of this place of\nbusiness in the office of an insurer, office of the employer, or in the residence of the\nlicensee.\n(2) The licenses of the licensee shall be conspicuously displayed in each of the p laces\nof business in a part customarily open to the public.\n(3) The licensee shall keep at his or her place of business complete records of\ntransactions under the license.\n(a) The records shall be kept available for inspection by the commissioner for a\nperiod of at least five (5) years after completion of the respective transactions.\n(b) For an insurance producer, the record shall show, as to each insurance policy\nor contract placed by or through the licensee, the names of the insurer and\ninsured, the numbe r and expiration date of, and premium payable as to, the\npolicy or contract, and any other information as the commissioner may\nreasonably require.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=16940","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:40Z","sha256":"e1ffd067c40a8c4f89a64939efd210ccb9bf454a11ebbdf73fa5ab5e56af4e80","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.9-380","next":"us-ky/krs-304.9-400"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
