{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.9-495","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.9-495","heading":"Definitions for KRS 304.9-495 to 304.9-497.","body":"For the purposes of KRS 304.9-495 to 304.9-497:\n(1) \"Limited lines self-service storage space insurance producer\" means a:\n(a) Licensed managing general agent, which has the same meaning as \"managing\ngeneral agent\" in KRS 304.9-085(1);\n(b) Licensed agent, which as the same meaning as \"agent\" in KRS 304.9-020; or\n(c) Limited lines self -service storage space insurance agent licensed pursuant to\nKRS 304.9-230;\ndesignated by the insurer as the self -service storage space insurance\nsupervising entity;\n(2) \"Occupant\" has the same meaning as in KRS 359.200;\n(3) \"Offering and disseminating\" means providing general information relating to the\nself-service storage space insurance offered, including a description of the coverage\nand price, receiving applications and pr emiums, and performing other activities\npermitted by the department which do not require a license;\n(4) \"Operator\" has the same meaning as in KRS 359.200;\n(5) \"Personal property\" has the same meaning as in KRS 359.200;\n(6) \"Self-service storage facility\" has the same meaning as in KRS 359.200; and\n(7) \"Self-service storage space insurance\" means insurance that provides primary\ncoverage to an occupant of a self -service storage facility space for the loss of or\ndamage to tangible personal property that is con tained in a self -service storage\nspace, but does not include a homeowner's policy, renter's insurance policy, a\nprivate passenger motor vehicle insurance policy, or an insurance policy that\nprovides coverage similar to the insurance provided by this subsection.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=43251","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:41Z","sha256":"21d54655322ebee59c3f6000c8e80d173c6a0f81cc3f437f81d33df23681d4de","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.9-490","next":"us-ky/krs-304.9-496"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
