{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.99-130","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.99-130","heading":"Penalties for violation of Subtitle 29.","body":"(1) A fraternal benefit society neglecting to file the annual statement in the form and\nwithin the time provided for in Subtitle 29 of this chapter shall forfeit one hundred\ndollars ($100) for each day during which such neglect continues, and, upon notice\nby the commissioner to that effect, its authority to do business in this state shall\ncease while such default continues.\n(2) Any person who willfully makes a false or fraudulent statement or statements in or\nrelating to an application for membership or for the  purpose of obtaining money\nfrom or a benefit in any fraternal benefit society, shall upon conviction be fined not\nless than one hundred dollars ($100) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500) or\nimprisonment in the county jail of not less than thirty (30 ) days nor more than one\n(1) year, or both.\n(3) Any person who willfully makes a false or fraudulent statement in any verified\nreport or declaration under oath required or authorized by Subtitle 29 of this\nchapter, or of any material fact or thing containe d in a sworn statement concerning\nthe death or disability of a member for the purpose of procuring payment of a\nbenefit named in the certificate, shall be guilty of perjury and shall be subject to the\npenalties therefor prescribed by law.\n(4) Any person wh o solicits membership for, or in any manner assists in procuring\nmembership in, any fraternal benefit society not licensed to do business in this state\nshall upon conviction be fined not less than one hundred dollars ($100).","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=30298","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:01Z","sha256":"6a60d0d54bfc839753adb64d88c06967992ae49367e98146fec4c89b21dea91d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.99-126","next":"us-ky/krs-304.99-140"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
