{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-309.334","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 309.334","heading":"Apprentice diabetes educator -- Administrative regulations.","body":"(1) An applicant for a permit as an apprentice diabetes educator shall:\n(a) File a written application on forms provided by the board in order to practice\nand earn the experience required for a type of license application;\n(b) Engage in the practice of diabete s education while receiving qualifying\nexperience with a board -approved supervisor who shall assume responsibility\nfor and supervise the apprentice diabetes educator's practice;\n(c) Not practice diabetes education until a supervisor has been approved by th e\nboard;\n(d) Cease the practice of diabetes education immediately upon the supervisor's\ninability or unwillingness to act as the supervisor; and\n(e) Upon gaining the required supervision hours and completing a board -\napproved diabetes educator course, apply  for licensure as a licensed diabetes\neducator.\n(2) The board shall promulgate administrative regulations to do the following,\nincluding but not limited to:\n(a) Establish the duties of the apprentice diabetes educator supervisor;\n(b) Establish fees; and\n(c) Establish additional requirements for an apprentice diabetes educator permit\nas the board determines are necessary.","path":["KRS Chapter 309"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=42414","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:02Z","sha256":"995f7ca09b33c7f07133369d69cca72fc99af0afd677e234944522ad83182297","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-309.333","next":"us-ky/krs-309.335"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
