{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-309.442","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 309.442","heading":"Insurance policy required for mitigation and measurement contractors.","body":"Each mitigation or measurement contractor shall maintain an insurance policy that:\n(1) Is issued by an insurance company or other legal entity permitted to transact\ninsurance business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky;\n(2) Provides for general liability coverage for measurement contractors in an amount of\nat least two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) that is maintained in effect at\nall times during the registration period;\n(3) Provides for general liability coverage for mitigation contractors and radon\nlaboratories in an amount of at least five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) that\nis maintained in effect at all times during the registration period;\n(4) Lists th e board as a certificate holder of any insurance policy issued under\nsubsection (1) of this section; and\n(5) States that cancellation or nonrenewal of the underlying liability insurance policy is\nnot effective until the board receives at least ten (10) day s' written notice of the\ncancellation or nonrenewal.","path":["KRS Chapter 309"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52688","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:02Z","sha256":"130fa57b4647f7303199e66c27e2103f7cba1c232b38fb2352fdd8cfcc68a445","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-309.440","next":"us-ky/krs-309.444"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
