{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-309.444","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 309.444","heading":"Registration as radon laboratory -- Renewal of registration certificate --","body":"Requirements for radon laboratory.\n(1) The board shall issue a radon laboratory registration certificate to any business\nentity certified for radon laboratory analysis that:\n(a) Completes a registration process prescribed by the board through\npromulgation of an administrative regulation;\n(b) Presents proof of compliance with a board-approved proficiency program; and\n(c) Furnishes evidence of a general liability insura nce policy that satisfies the\nrequirements of KRS 309.442.\n(2) The board shall renew the radon laboratory registration certificate of any business\nentity that:\n(a) Completes a registration process and pays a fee prescribed by the board\nthrough promulgation of an administrative regulation;\n(b) Presents proof of compliance with a board-approved proficiency program; and\n(c) Furnishes evidence of a general liability insurance policy that satisfies the\nrequirements of KRS 309.442;\n(3) A radon laboratory shall:\n(a) Maintain certification with a board-approved proficiency program;\n(b) Ensure all laboratory analysis is conducted in accordance with the applicable\nlaboratory analysis standard operating procedures; and\n(c) Maintain a quality control program plan in acc ordance with the applicable\nstandard operating procedures for laboratory analysis quality assurance and\ncontrol.","path":["KRS Chapter 309"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52690","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:02Z","sha256":"510ae52b788c6631dd5c6412c79706367e78784bce7a1f72bcc5c0938fcf511c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-309.442","next":"us-ky/krs-309.446"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
