{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-30a.050","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 30A.050","heading":"Number and qualifications of deputy clerks and employees -- Power of","body":"deputy clerks -- Compensation.\n(1) The number and qualifications of deputy clerks and other employees in the office of\neach clerk shall be determined by the Administrative Office of the Courts after\nconsultation with the clerk concerned. All deputies and employees of the clerk's\noffice shall be employees of the Commonwealth.\n(2) Deputy circuit clerks, authorized by and under the direction of the circuit clerk,\nshall have full power to  perform such duties as may be performed by the circuit\nclerk; and any act of a deputy clerk is entitled to the same faith and credit as that of\nthe clerk.\n(3) Deputy clerks and all other employees in the office of the clerk shall be\ncompensated according to the pay schedule established by the Judicial Personnel\nSystem.\n(4) The clerk may employ and dismiss such deputies and other employees.","path":["KRS Chapter 30A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=21179","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:50Z","sha256":"57ec66099f38ec6e7b9c9799f81b5480ab613bd2bac90d63558f02e493a5c8b9","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-30a.040","next":"us-ky/krs-30a.055"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
