{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-30a.120","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 30A.120","heading":"Collection of fines and forfeitures -- Semimonthly reports and payments to","body":"the Finance and Administration Cabinet -- Delinquency.\n(1) Every clerk shall collect all fines and forfeitures imposed in District and Circuit\nCourt, and shall issue receipts therefor.\n(2) At the close of business daily the clerk in each county shall deposit in a bank\ndesignated as a state depository the proceeds from fines and forfeitures, and within\nthree (3) working days after the first and fifteenth of each month submit to t he\nFinance and Administration Cabinet a report listing all fines and forfeitures\ncollected, and shall pay over to the cabinet in the manner prescribed by the cabinet\nat the same time all costs, fines, forfeitures, and other moneys so reported.\n(3) Upon the failure of the clerk to submit to the cabinet, within the prescribed period,\nthe required report and to pay over, at the same time, the costs, fines, forfeitures and\nother moneys collected, the cabinet shall immediately notify the Auditor of Public\nAccounts that the clerk concerned is delinquent in the matter.","path":["KRS Chapter 30A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=21187","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:50Z","sha256":"683e5d8c89a78029afd54e4bd4488f75197894c2cb0324bda3c33173f09b993b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-30a.110","next":"us-ky/krs-30a.125"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
