{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-311.1927","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 311.1927","heading":"Manner of making, amending, or revoking anatomical gift of decedent's","body":"body or part.\n(1) A person authorized to make an anatomical gift under KRS 311.1925 may make an\nanatomical gift by a document of gift signed by the person making the gift or by that\nperson's oral communication that is electronically recorded or is contemporaneously\nreduced to a record and signed by the individual receiving the oral communication.\n(2) Subject to subsection (3) of this section, an anatomical gift by a person authorize d\nunder KRS 311.1925 may be amended or revoked orally or in a record by any\nmember of a prior class who is reasonably available. If more than one (1) member\nof the prior class is reasonably available, the gift made by a person authorized under\nKRS 311.1925 may be:\n(a) Amended only if a majority of the reasonably available members agree to the\namending of the gift; or\n(b) Revoked only if a majority of the reasonably available members agree to the\nrevoking of the gift or if they are equally divided as to whet her to revoke the\ngift.\n(3) A revocation under subsection (2) of this section is effective only if, before an\nincision has been made to remove a part from the donor's body or before invasive\nprocedures have begun to prepare the recipient, the procurement o rganization,\ntransplant hospital, or physician or technician knows of the revocation.","path":["KRS Chapter 311"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=30435","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:03Z","sha256":"3d3dc1b5133d16de59351d1b201bc68a9ded9e3f5e9ddb685602cda26257c994","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-311.1925","next":"us-ky/krs-311.1929"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
