{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-311.380","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 311.380","heading":"Definitions for KRS 311.380 to 311.500.","body":"As used in KRS 311.380 to 311.500:\n(1) \"Board\" means the State Board of Podiatry;\n(2) \"Physician assistant\" has the same meaning as in KRS 311.840;\n(3) \"Podiatric assistant\" means a person licensed by the board to assist licensed\npodiatrists with specific duties and tasks related to the practic e of podiatry as\npermitted by administrative regulations promulgated by the board;\n(4) \"Podiatric residency\" means a program of supervised postgraduate clinical training\napproved by the board for a licensed podiatric resident;\n(5) \"Podiatric resident\" mean s a person licensed by the board and participating in a\npodiatric residency;\n(6) \"Podiatric supervision\" has the same meaning as in KRS 311.840;\n(7) \"Podiatrist\" is a physician and surgeon who has graduated from a college of\npodiatric medicine accredited by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education of the\nAmerican Podiatric Medical Association or approved by state licensing boards;\n(8) \"Podiatry\" is that profession of the health sciences which deals with the\nexamination, diagnosis, treatment, and preventio n of diseases, conditions, and\nmalfunctions affecting the human foot and its related or governing structures by\nemployment of medical, surgical, or other means; and\n(9) \"Supervising podiatrist\" has the same meaning as in KRS 311.840.","path":["KRS Chapter 311"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57535","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:04Z","sha256":"ecb01fba086ab0c47ab3b1743d27d6dd2b43a2dda23b2c0809985ae674a313cd","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-311.379","next":"us-ky/krs-311.390"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
