{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-311.400","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 311.400","heading":"License required.","body":"(1) A person shall not profess to be a podiatrist, practice or assume the duties incident\nto podiatry in this state, or use the title \"podiatrist\" or any words or letters which\ndesignate or tend to designate to the public that the person is a podiatrist, unles s he\nor she holds a valid, current license from the board, registered in the county in\nwhich the holder is engaged in such practice.\n(2) A licensed podiatric assistant may assist a licensed podiatrist with specific duties\nand tasks related to the practice of podiatry if:\n(a) Permitted by administrative regulations promulgated in accordance with KRS\nChapter 13A by the board; and\n(b) Not otherwise prohibited by law.\n(3) A licensed podiatric resident may engage in the practice of podiatry if:\n(a) Required as a part of the podiatric residency program;\n(b) The podiatric resident is practicing under the supervision of a licensed\npodiatrist;\n(c) Permitted by administrative regulations promulgated in accordance with KRS\nChapter 13A by the board; and\n(d) Not otherwise prohibited by law.","path":["KRS Chapter 311"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57536","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:04Z","sha256":"cafa9a715b91f3c51104fff898f9e0bdec21669698e588e94d31c43d18ef692d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-311.390","next":"us-ky/krs-311.410"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
