{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-311.480","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 311.480","heading":"Grounds for denial, refusal to renew, suspension, probation, or revocation","body":"of license.\nThe board may refuse to license or renew, or may suspend, probate, or revoke the license\nof any podiatrist, podiatric resident, podiatric assistant, or in addition to such refusal,\nsuspension, probation, or revocation, or in lieu thereof, may impose a fine not to exceed\nfive hundred dollars ($500) for each offense, upon proof that he or she:\n(1) Has been convicted of a felony, if in accordance with KRS Chapter 335B;\n(2) Has been convicted of a misdemeanor, if in accordance with KRS Chapter 335B;\n(3) Has employed, hired, procured or induced a person not licensed to practice podiatry\nin this state so to practice;\n(4) Has aided or abetted in the practice of podi atry a person not licensed to practice\npodiatry in this state;\n(5) Has been granted a license upon a mistake of a material fact;\n(6) Has violated any provision of KRS 311.380 to 311.500;\n(7) Has become drug addicted;\n(8) Has become a chronic or persistent alcoholic;\n(9) Has developed such physical or mental disability, or other condition whereby\ncontinued practice is dangerous to patients or to the public;\n(10) Has violated any order of suspension, or the terms or the conditions of any order of\nprobation, issued by the board;\n(11) Has engaged in, or attempted to engage in the practice of podiatry under a false or\nassumed name;\n(12) Has willfully violated a confidential communication;\n(13) Has acted in a grossly negligent or willful manner which is inconsistent with the\npractice of podiatry;\n(14) Is unfit or incompetent to practice podiatry by reason of gross negligence or other\ncauses including but not limited to being unable to practice podiatry with\nreasonable skill or safety;\n(15) Has a license to practice as a podiatrist denied, limited, suspended, probated, or\nrevoked in another jurisdiction on grounds sufficient to cause a license to be denied,\nlimited, suspended, probated, or revoked in this Commonwealth; or\n(16) Has engaged in conduct likely to deceive or defraud the public.","path":["KRS Chapter 311"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57543","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:04Z","sha256":"e28b397e91935024e757bd466823bfe6ed5972bbacb817b76166ce1471367c2b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-311.475","next":"us-ky/krs-311.490"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
