{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-311.575","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 311.575","heading":"Issuance and cancellation of temporary permit -- Notice -- Application of","body":"temporary permit fees upon regular license fee.\n(1) Whenever, in the opinion of the executive director, based upon verified information\ncontained in the application, an applican t for a license to practice medicine or\nosteopathy is eligible therefor under subsections (1) and (2) of KRS 311.571, the\nexecutive director may issue to such applicant, on behalf of the board, a temporary\npermit which shall entitle the holder to practice medicine or osteopathy in this state\nfor a maximum of six (6) months from date of issuance thereof unless the temporary\npermit is sooner canceled by the executive director, who may cancel it at any time,\nwithout a hearing, for reasons deemed sufficient to him with appropriate\nconsultation with the president, and who shall cancel it immediately upon direction\nby the board or upon the board's denial of the holder's application for a regular\nlicense. The permit shall not be renewable.\n(2) The executive director shall present to the board the application for a license made\nby the holder of the temporary permit. In the event the board issues a regular license\nto the holder of a temporary permit, the fee paid in connection with any temporary\npermit then in effect shall be applied upon the prescribed license fee.\n(3) When the executive director cancels a temporary permit, he shall promptly notify,\nby certified United States mail, the holder of the temporary permit, at his last known\naddress as reflected by the files of the board, and the temporary permit shall become\nterminated and of no further force and effect three (3) days after the giving of said\nnotice to the holder.","path":["KRS Chapter 311"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=30527","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:04Z","sha256":"760624dbf64b839fa84bf39981b291a5e59ae665fbb6cef0e6e925ada9c21011","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-311.572","next":"us-ky/krs-311.580"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
