{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-311.607","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 311.607","heading":"Petition for new license two years after revocation -- Probation period.","body":"(1) Except for disciplinary actions taken pursuant to KRS 311.595(8) and KRS\n311.599, a licensee who has had his license revoked may, after two (2) years from\nthe effective date of the revocation order, petition the board for a license to again\npractice in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.\n(2) The board shall not be required to issue a new license as described in subsection (1).\nNo new license shall be issued to such former licensee unless the applicant satisfies\nthe board that he is presently of good moral cha racter and qualified both physically\nand mentally to resume the practice of medicine without undue risk or danger to his\npatients or the public.\n(3) In the event that the board should issue a new license under the circumstances as\ndescribed in this section, the new license shall be under probation for a period of not\nless than two (2) years nor more than five (5) years, and any subsequent violation\nduring the probation period shall result in automatic revocation of license.","path":["KRS Chapter 311"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=30549","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:05Z","sha256":"aeda8fd66b4737177ab28c498a0820371d93d5f213ae789aad906b3f695b556a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-311.606","next":"us-ky/krs-311.610"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
