{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-311.672","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 311.672","heading":"Definitions for 311.671 to 311.686.","body":"In KRS 311.671 to 311.686, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings\ngiven to them, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:\n(1) \"Acupuncturist\" means an individual licensed to practice acupuncture by the board;\n(2) \"Board\" means the State Board of Medical Licensure;\n(3) \"Committee\" means the Acupuncture Advisory Committee under the State Board of\nMedical Licensure;\n(4) \"Licensure\" means licensure by the board to practice acupuncture; and\n(5) \"Practice of acupuncture\" means the insertio n of acupuncture needles, with or\nwithout accompanying electrical or thermal stimulation, at certain acupuncture\npoints or meridians on the surface of the human body for purposes of changing the\nflow of energy in the body and may include acupressure, cuppi ng, moxibustion, or\ndermal friction.
