{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-311.682","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 311.682","heading":"Continuing education requirements.","body":"(1) The board shall, by administrative regulation, prescribe continuing education\nrequirements not to exceed thirty (30) hours biennially, as a condition for renewal of\na license. All education programs that contribute to the advancement, extension, or\nenhancement of professional skills and knowledge related to the practice of\nacupuncture, whether conducted by a nonprofit or profit -making entity, are eligible\nfor approval. The continuing professional education requirements must be in\nacupuncture or oriental med icine subjects, including but not limited to anatomy,\nbiological sciences, adjunctive therapies, sanitation and sterilization, emergency\nprotocols, and diseases.\n(2) The board shall have the authority to set a fee for each continuing education\nprovider.\n(3) The licensed practitioner shall retain in his or her records the certificates of\ncompletion of continuing professional education requirements to prove compliance\nwith this section.\n(4) All national and state acupuncture and oriental medicine organization s and\nacupuncture and oriental medicine schools are approved to provide continuing\nprofessional education in accordance with this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 311"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=43059","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:06Z","sha256":"3dcb1eababef21820fa3886a6929a527477adcb47aeda06591e261ffcb4e29fd","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-311.681","next":"us-ky/krs-311.683"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
