{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-311.7707","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 311.7707","heading":"Written document  regarding purpose  of abortion -- Retention of","body":"records.\n(1) The  provisions of this section are independent of the requirements of KRS\n311.7704, 311.7705, and 311.7706.\n(2) A person who performs or induces an abortion on a pregnant woman  shall:\n(a) If the reason for the abortion purported is to preserve the health of the\npregnant woman, specify in a written document the medical condition that\nthe abortion is asserted to address and the medical rationale for the\nperson's conclusion that the abortion is necessary to address that\ncondition; or\n(b) If the reason for the abortion is other than to preserve the health of the\npregnant woman, specify in a written document that maternal health is not\nthe purpose of the abortion.\n(3) The  person who  specifies the information in the document  described in\nsubsection (2) of this section shall place the document  in the pregnant\nwoman's  medical records.
