{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-311.867","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 311.867","heading":"Temporary certification to practice as surgical assistant.","body":"(1) (a) Based upon verified information contained in the application for certification\nto practice as a surgical assistant, the board may issue a temporary certificate\nwhich shall entitle the holder to practice as a surgical assistant for a maximum\nof six (6) months from the date of issuance.\n(b) After appropriate consultation with the executive director, the board may\ncancel the temporary certificate at any time, without a hearing, for reasons it\ndeems sufficient.\n(c) The executive director shall cancel the temporary certificate immediately upon\ndirection by the board, or upon the board's denial of the holder's application\nfor a regular certificate.\n(d) The temporary certificate shall not be renewable.\n(2) The board shall consider the application for certification made by the holder of a\ntemporary certificate. If the board issues a regular certificate to the holder of a\ntemporary certificate, the fee paid in connection with the temporary certificate shall\nbe applied to the regular certificate fee.\n(3) If the board cancels a temporary certificate:\n(a) It shall promptly notify the holder of the temporary certificate by United States\ncertified mail at the last known address on file with the board; and\n(b) The temporary certificate shall be terminated and shall have no f urther force\nor effect three (3) days after the date the notice was sent by certified mail.","path":["KRS Chapter 311"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=49252","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:07Z","sha256":"d73c643cca72e472a8bdf0716b022c21182f7141c5457cf2192a538c242ae7b4","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-311.866","next":"us-ky/krs-311.868"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
