{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-311a.080","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 311A.080","heading":"Persons prohibited from operating ambulance service or first response","body":"program -- Penalties.\n(1) No person as defined in KRS 446.010 who is not licensed to do so, or whose license\nto do so has been suspended, revoked, or denied, shall operate an ambulance service\nor advanced life support emergency medical first response program.\n(2) Any person as defined in KRS 446.010 who violates subsection (1) of this section is\nguilty of a Class A misdemeanor for the first offense and a Class D felony for each\nsubsequent offense.\n(3) The provisions of this section shall not preclude the board from revoking or\nincreasing the suspension period of a person operating an ambulance service or\nadvanced life support first response program which has illegally operated while its\nlicense is under suspension or has been revoked.\n(4) The filing of criminal charges or a criminal conviction for violation of the\nprovisions of this chapter or the administrative regulations promulgated thereunder\nshall not preclude the board from inst ituting or imposing board disciplinary action\nauthorized by this chapter against any person or organization violating this chapter\nor the administrative regulations promulgated thereunder.\n(5) The institution or imposition of disciplinary action by the boa rd against any person\nor organization violating the provisions of this chapter or the administrative\nregulations promulgated thereunder shall not preclude the filing of criminal charges\nagainst or a criminal conviction of any person or organization for vio lation of the\nprovisions of this chapter or the administrative regulations promulgated thereunder.","path":["KRS Chapter 311A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=30732","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:08Z","sha256":"89f3cc80ce55c4ca0c1b9afc8fe9fb4bd540e67648933069e0efb4e083e3be4c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-311a.075","next":"us-ky/krs-311a.085"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
