{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-311b.010","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 311B.010","heading":"Legislative policy and intent.","body":"(1) It is the declared policy of the General Assembly of Kentucky that the practice of\nmedical imaging, radiation therapy, and related occupations should be regulated and\ncontrolled as provided by this chapter and by the administrative regulations of the\nboard in order to protect and safeguard the health and safety of the citizens of the\nCommonwealth of Kentucky.\n(2) Prior to July 12, 2012, the Cabinet for Health and Family Services has exercised\neffective oversight over the fields of medical imaging and radiation therapy, but it is\nthe intent of the General Assembly that, as of July 12, 2012:\n(a) These professions shall be governed by a peer -reviewed, practitioner -based\nbody; and\n(b) The board as established in this chapter is the best means to carry out this\npurpose.","path":["KRS Chapter 311B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=40195","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:08Z","sha256":"f44613572edb39cadd5c9426213ac42ffd7b87454ee52e3d0d63fd26119a400d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-311a.200","next":"us-ky/krs-311b.020"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
