{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-311b.090","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 311B.090","heading":"Restrictions on unlicensed persons -- Application of chapter.","body":"(1) No person shall engage or attempt to engage in the operation of radiation -producing\nequipment or the administration of ionizing radiation for the purpose of medical\nimaging or radiation therapy in Kentucky unless licensed in accordance with the\nprovisions of this chapter.\n(2) This chapter shall not apply to any individual licensed in the Commonwealth of\nKentucky as a licensed practitioner of the healing arts, any student enrolled in an\napproved educational program in medical imaging technology or radiation therapy,\nor any employee of the federal government engaged in the performance of official\nduties within the state.\n(3) Misuse of regulated credentials shall result in disciplinary action by the board in\naddition to possible action by the credentialing agency.\n(4) Nothing in this chapter or in the administrative regulations promulgated by the\nboard pursuant to this chapter shall be interpreted to limit or restrict a licensed\nhealth care practitioner or provider from engaging in the full scope of practice\nauthorized by the license for that person's profession, training, or services.","path":["KRS Chapter 311B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=40203","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:08Z","sha256":"7811dc3ccde1067bec4f9c5cc7d6456a143089b77e7842fc03280c939eed1435","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-311b.080","next":"us-ky/krs-311b.100"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
