{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-311b.150","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 311B.150","heading":"Prohibited activities.","body":"It shall be unlawful for any person to:\n(1) Claim to be a licensee or perform medical imaging or therapeutic procedures unless\nlicensed under this chapter;\n(2) Manipulate equipment that produces ionizing radiation or administer\nradiopharmaceuticals unless licensed under this chapter;\n(3) Knowingly e mploy an advanced imaging professional, medical imaging\ntechnologist, radiographer, radiation therapist, nuclear medicine technologist, or\nlimited X -ray machine operator unless that individual is licensed under the\nprovisions of this chapter; or\n(4) Be an advanced imaging professional, medical imaging technologist, radiographer,\nradiation therapist, nuclear medicine technologist, limited X -ray machine operator,\nemployer of one (1) of these individuals, or any other person who, having\nknowledge of a situatio n listed in paragraphs (a) to (j) of this subsection, refrains\nfrom reporting to the board a licensee who:\n(a) Has been convicted of any felony or a misdemeanor involving drugs, alcohol,\nfraud, deceit, falsification of records, a breach of trust, physical harm or\nendangerment to others, or dishonesty under the laws of any state or of the\nUnited States;\n(b) Is suspected of fraud or deceit in procuring or attempting to procure a license\nor credential to practice in his or her discipline;\n(c) Is suspected of n egligently or willfully acting in a manner inconsistent with\nprofessional practice relative to his or her discipline;\n(d) Is suspected of being unfit or incompetent to practice by reason of negligence\nor other causes, including but not limited to being una ble to practice with\nreasonable skill or safety;\n(e) Has a license or credential to practice medical imaging or radiation therapy\ndenied, suspended, revoked, or otherwise disciplined in another jurisdiction\non grounds sufficient to cause a license or crede ntial to be denied, suspended,\nrevoked, or otherwise disciplined in this Commonwealth;\n(f) Is practicing medical imaging or radiation therapy, as it pertains to this\nchapter, without a current active license or valid temporary license issued by\nthe board;\n(g) Is suspected of misusing or misappropriating any drugs placed in the licensee's\ncustody to be administered to or used by others;\n(h) Is suspected of falsely or negligently making incorrect entries or failing to\nmake essential entries on essential records;\n(i) Is suspected of abusing controlled substances, prescription medications, illegal\nsubstances, or alcohol; or\n(j) Is suspected of violating any provision of this chapter.","path":["KRS Chapter 311B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=40209","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:08Z","sha256":"18cbedd86e41bdb5896043b82ed8e94933530abdbc439bb180cab761c0072f3a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-311b.140","next":"us-ky/krs-311b.160"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
