{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-312.163","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 312.163","heading":"Disciplinary powers of board -- Imposition of penalty -- Procedural rights","body":"of licensee.\n(1) In addition to the other powers granted to the board under this chapter, the board\nmay, in connection with any person whom the board, after a hearing adjudges\nunqualified or whom the board, after a hearing, finds to have performed one (1) or\nmore of the acts described in KRS 312.150:\n(a) Revoke the license to practice;\n(b) Suspend the license to practice;\n(c) Publicly reprimand or censure the person;\n(d) Place the person on probation for a period and upon the terms and conditions\nthat the board may establish;\n(e) Require payment of all costs of proceedings resulting from the disciplinary\naction; and\n(f) Limit the license to practice.\n(2) The board may also impose  a penalty not exceeding five thousand dollars ($5,000)\nfor each separate violation.\n(3) A licensee subject to any disciplinary proceeding under this chapter shall be\nafforded an administrative hearing conducted in accordance with KRS Chapter 13B\nand may appeal any final order of the board to the Franklin Circuit Court.","path":["KRS Chapter 312"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=30794","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:09Z","sha256":"17a2c5054d8a6b7c3e0f3d64771faa95992bc62cf747ef471a887a3bb657bb84","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-312.160","next":"us-ky/krs-312.165"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
