{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-313.050","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 313.050","heading":"Procedures which dentist may delegate to dental auxiliary personnel.","body":"(1) A licensed dentist may delegate to competent dental auxiliary personnel those\nprocedures for which the dentist exercises direct supervision and full responsibility\nas long as the delegated powers do not include any of the following:\n(a) Those procedures which require professional judgment and skill, such as\ndiagnosis and treatment planning and the cutting of hard or soft tissues or any\nintraoral procedure which will be used d irectly in the fabrication of an\nappliance which, when worn by the patient, would come in direct contact with\nhard or soft tissue;\n(b) Those procedures allocated by this chapter to licensed dental hygienists or\nregistered dental assistants; and\n(c) The adm inistration of injectable medication or anesthesia by auxiliary\npersonnel unless otherwise authorized by law.\n(2) A licensed dentist may delegate the taking of radiographs to dental auxiliary\npersonnel who have completed board -approved training in radiogra phy technique\nand safety.
