{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-314.027","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 314.027","heading":"Funding for scholarships -- Contract for scholarship.","body":"(1) Funding for the Kentucky nursing incentive scholarship fund shall be supplied\npartly by funds received from penalties and fines, to include, but not be limited to,\ncertificate of need penalties assessed on hospitals, nursing facilities, nursing homes,\npersonal care homes, and family care homes under the provisions of KRS 216.560\nand 216B.131(2).\n(2) Additional funding shall be provided by an assessment of five dollars ($5) to be\nadded to each nurse licensure renewal application fee payable to the board, proceeds\nof which shall be annually allocated to the Kentucky nursing incentive scholarship\nfund.\n(3) The board may cancel any contract between it and any applicant or recipient upon\nfailure by the applicant or recipient to meet requirements of KRS 314.025 to\n314.027 or board administrative regulations. Failure to complete the terms of the\ncontract shall subject the applicant to legal action for the recovery of all assistance\nprovided, together with attorney fees and interest at a compound rate of eight\npercent (8%) from the date of disbursement from the Kentucky nursing incentive\nscholarship fund.","path":["KRS Chapter 314"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=48004","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:10Z","sha256":"1d4f1cbf122ca4b34e2d9d9f0e2df3393bc15b41a46cd464b755e9e32521902d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-314.026","next":"us-ky/krs-314.030"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
