{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-314.071","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 314.071","heading":"Renewal of licenses -- Reinstatement of licenses.","body":"(1) The license of every person issued under the provisions of this chapter shall be\nrenewed for a period of time as determined by the board by administrative\nregulation promulgated pursuant to KRS Chapter 13A, except as hereinafter\nprovided. The applicant sha ll fill in the application form truthfully and accurately\nand return it to the board with the renewal fee prescribed by the board in a\nregulation before the expiration date of his current license. The board shall prescribe\nby regulation the beginning and ending of the licensure period.\n(2) Any licensee who allows his license to lapse by failing to renew the license as\nprovided above may be reinstated by the board on payment of current fee and by\nmeeting the regulations of the board.\n(3) Notice that the lice nse must be renewed shall be sent to the address of record\npursuant to KRS 314.107 of each licensee before the expiration date of the license.\n(4) Any person practicing nursing during the time the license has lapsed shall be\nconsidered an illegal practitio ner and shall be subject to the penalties provided for\nviolations of the provisions of this chapter.","path":["KRS Chapter 314"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=44652","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:10Z","sha256":"a4c943b5c6192f8096142f7c780467a5b6bfed2df61dc50d7dc10d4551b06261","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-314.070","next":"us-ky/krs-314.073"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
