{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-314a.105","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 314A.105","heading":"Permitted activities.","body":"(1) This chapter does not prohibit:\n(a) The performance of respiratory care which is an integral part of the program\nof study by students enrolled in an accredited program;\n(b) Self-care by the patient nor the gratuitous care by a friend or member of the\nfamily who does not represent or hold him self out to be a respiratory care\npractitioner;\n(c) Respiratory care services provided in the case of an emergency;\n(d) Persons from engaging in cardiopulmonary research;\n(e) The performance of respiratory care by trained paramedical personnel; and\n(f) Volunteer health practitioners providing services under KRS 39A.350 to\n39A.366.\n(2) Nothing in this section shall limit, preclude, or otherwise restrict the practices of\nother licensed personnel in carrying out their duties under the terms of their license.","path":["KRS Chapter 314A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=30975","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:11Z","sha256":"35c74e47cc1d0b7acd81375e42d4f11b77ce15cee82da2b2b97827d927d1b6fc","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-314a.100","next":"us-ky/krs-314a.110"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
