{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-315.050","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 315.050","heading":"Qualifications of applicant for licensure -- Examination -- Standards for","body":"internship -- Certificate of internship.\n(1) Every applicant for licensure as a pharmacist shall be not less than eighteen (18)\nyears of age, of good mental health and moral c haracter, a graduate of a school or\ncollege of pharmacy program approved by the board, and shall file proof\nsatisfactory to the board, substantiated by proper affidavits, of completion of an\napproved internship.\n(2) After the applicant has passed a satisfa ctory examination conducted before the\nboard under regulations prescribed by the board, he shall be entitled to a license as a\npharmacist.\n(3) The examination for licensure shall be given by the board at least two (2) times\nduring each year. The examinatio n shall be prepared to measure the competency of\nthe applicant to engage in the practice of pharmacy. The board may employ and\ncooperate with any organization or consultant in the preparation and grading of an\nappropriate examination, but shall retain the sole discretion and responsibility of\ndetermining which applicants have successfully passed such an examination.\n(4) The board shall by regulation establish standards for pharmacist intern certification\nand an approved internship program and shall determin e appropriate qualifications\nfor pharmacists supervising approved internship programs.\n(5) The board shall issue certificates of internship which shall be valid for six (6) years\nfrom date of issuance.
