{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-315.065","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 315.065","heading":"Continuing education requirements.","body":"(1) Because of the continuous introduction of new therapeutic and diagnostic agents\nand changing concepts in the practice of pharmacy, it is essential that a pharmacist\nundertake a program of continuing education to maintain his professional\ncompetency to practice in the public interest.\n(2) No pharmacist's license shall be renewed until the license holder is able to submit\nwritten proof to the board that he has satisfactorily completed, in the previous\nrenewal period, a continuing education program acceptable to the board. Such\ncontinuing education requirements shall be determined by regulation of the board,\nbut they shall not require more than an average of one and one -half (1 -1/2)\ncontinuing education units (CEU) per year.\n(3) The board shall adopt rules and regulations to carry out the provisions of this\nsection, to include guidelines and criteria for reviewing and approving continuing\neducation programs.","path":["KRS Chapter 315"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=44621","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:11Z","sha256":"9e5c4d5e8df7ab42ded713c0060ad5510dafbbfdbc9e39c15c1ff1a3ae2c83b3","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-315.060","next":"us-ky/krs-315.070"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
