{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-317.590","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 317.590","heading":"Grounds for disciplinary action -- Retesting in certain cases.","body":"(1) The board may refuse to issue or renew a license or permit, or may suspend or\nrevoke a license or permit, impose probationary conditions upon, impose an\nadministrative fine, issue a written reprimand or admonishment, or take any\ncombination of these action s regarding proof of any applicant's, permittee's, or\nlicensee's:\n(a) Gross malpractice or incompetence;\n(b) Mental or physical health that would endanger public health or safety;\n(c) Failure to comply with regulations or rules of the board;\n(d) False or deceptive advertising;\n(e) Practicing in an unlicensed shop or in a shop knowing that the shop is not\ncomplying with this chapter or regulations of the board promulgated pursuant\nto this chapter;\n(f) Unprofessional conduct;\n(g) Teaching in an unlicensed school or in a school knowing that the school is not\ncomplying with this chapter or administrative regulations of the board\npromulgated pursuant to this chapter;\n(h) Practicing as an independent contract owner in any manner that violates any\nprovision of this  chapter or the administrative regulations promulgated under\nthis chapter; or\n(i) Violation of a provision of this chapter or an administrative regulation\npromulgated by the board pursuant to this chapter.\n(2) The board may require retesting of any license e upon proper showing of gross\nmalpractice or incompetence on the part of each licensee.","path":["KRS Chapter 317"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=47203","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:13Z","sha256":"eb5b0be4061f953a64615a22ace4f01fcf1b2cae02d552b3aff4fd128efb4108","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-317.580","next":"us-ky/krs-317.595"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
