{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-318.160","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 318.160","heading":"Installation plans and specifications.","body":"Except as otherwise provided by law or by regulation of the department, no person shall\nconstruct, install, or extensively alter any plumbing, sewerage, or water supply system of\nany public building or establishment without having first obtained the approv al of the\ndepartment in writing. Detailed plans and specifications of the proposed facility showing\nthe plumbing system, sewage disposal system, and water supply system shall be\nsubmitted to the department prior to the construction or alteration of the fac ility. In the\nevent no public sewer is available, the plan shall include the proposed type of sewage\ndisposal system. In the event a sewage subsoil drainage system is used, or some other\ntype of on -site sewage disposal system that does not have a surface d ischarge, the\napplication for construction, installation, or alteration of such system shall be submitted\nto the Cabinet for Health and Family Services or its designated agent. All other plans and\nspecifications shall be submitted in triplicate to the depa rtment. The department shall\nnotify the applicant in writing of the approval or disapproval of the plans.
