{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-318.180","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 318.180","heading":"Enforcement of plumbing laws.","body":"(1) Notwithstanding the existence or pursuit of any other remedy (civil or criminal) the\ndepartment, or its officers, agents, or inspectors, are hereby authorized to institute\nand maintain actions to restrain and enjoin any violation of this chapter, the State\nPlumbing Code, or the rules and regulations of the department relating thereto.\n(2) City, county and Commonwealth's attorneys, and the Attorney General, shall within\ntheir respective jurisdictions represent the department, its officers, agents, and\ninspectors, in the enforcement of the provisions of this chapter, the State Plumbing\nCode, and the rules and regulations of the department relating thereto, but when the\ndepartment deems it necessary, it may employ, at its discretion, special attorneys to\nassist the department, or its officers, agents, or inspectors, and may pay reasonable\ncompensation, fees and other costs from any unexpended plumbing funds.","path":["KRS Chapter 318"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=31212","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:14Z","sha256":"b27bd4072ac0c6d4115d0dbfae7ed8cc8c400075f029bc02f15416a396b3a9ac","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-318.170","next":"us-ky/krs-318.190"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
