{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-321.193","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 321.193","heading":"Veterinarian's license -- Requirements.","body":"The board shall issue a license as a \"veterinarian\" to an applicant who meets the\nfollowing requirements:\n(1) Has completed an application for licensure approved by the board in administrative\nregulation;\n(2) Has paid the application fee and the appropriate examination fee;\n(3) Is a person of good moral character. As one (1) element of good moral character,\nthe board shall require each applicant for licensure to submit a full set of the\napplicant's fingerprints for the purpose of obtaining criminal records checks,\npursuant to applicable law. All good moral character information, including the\ninformation obtained through the criminal background checks, shall be relevant to\nlicensure eligibility determinations to the extent permitted by law;\n(4) Has graduated and received a doctorate degree in veterinary medicine or equivalent\ndegree in veterinary medicine from an approved veterinary medical program or\napproved foreign equivalency program;\n(5) Has achieved a passing score on examinations required by administrative regulation\npromulgated by the board;\n(6) Has been approved for licensure by the board; and\n(7) Has complied with any other requirements of this chapter or of the board by\nadministrative regulation.","path":["KRS Chapter 321"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53933","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:16Z","sha256":"5bcf839822c353f118681121dd2d458818df1281ed78affb7622b63a7caa091f","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-321.190","next":"us-ky/krs-321.195"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
