{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-321.320","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 321.320","heading":"Revolving fund for administration -- Reserve fund.","body":"(1) All fees and other moneys received by the board pursuant to the provisions of this\nchapter shall be deposited in the State Treasury to the credit of a revolving fund for\nthe use of the board.\n(2) (a) No part of this revolving fund shall revert to the gener al funds of this\nCommonwealth.\n(b) Notwithstanding KRS 45.229, fund amounts not expended at the close of a\nfiscal year shall not lapse but shall be carried forward into the next fiscal year.\n(c) Any interest earnings of the fund shall become a part of the fund and shall not\nlapse.\n(3) All expenses incurred by the board shall be paid from this revolving fund,\nincluding:\n(a) The compensation of members of the board;\n(b) Salaries, wages, and benefits of the employees of the board;\n(c) Payment of contractors hired by the board;\n(d) Administrative services provided to the board;\n(e) Investigative and legal services;\n(f) Court costs;\n(g) Technology expenses related to administration of this chapter; and\n(h) All other expenses incurred by the board.\n(4) The board shall keep and maintain a reserve fund for capital, operational, and\nprogrammatic expenses.\n(5) Scholarships and other educational awards approved by the board for the purpose of\npromoting persons entering into the fields of veterinary medicine shall be paid from\nthis revolving fund.\n(6) The board may receive and expend funds, in addition to fees collected from parties\nother than applicants and credential holders, provided that these funds shall be used\nin the pursuit of a specific objective that the board may accomplish by this chapter\nor which the board is qualified to accomplish by reason of its jurisdiction or\nprofessional expertise.\n(7) The board may direct investment of that portion of its revolving fund not needed to\nmeet current expenses, the earning from which investments shall also be credited to\nthe revolving fund of the board.\n(8) The fund shall be held subject to the orde r of the board, and to be used for meeting\nnecessary expenses incurred in the performance of the purposes of this chapter and\nthe duties imposed thereby.","path":["KRS Chapter 321"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53944","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:17Z","sha256":"f0ce678acf74e94e6db19bf3649836d84a5fd3c693bf62674371d53ed7c92c52","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-321.310","next":"us-ky/krs-321.330"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
