{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-322.030","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 322.030","heading":"Exceptions to KRS 322.020.","body":"KRS 322.020 shall not apply to:\n(1) The work of an employee or subordinate of:\n(a) A professional engineer if the work is done under the direct supervision of and\nverified by the professional engineer; or\n(b) A professional land surveyor if the work is done under the direct supervision\nof and verified by the professional land surveyor;\n(2) The practice of engineering or land surveying by officers and employees of the\nUnited States government while engaged in engineering or land surveying for the\ngovernment;\n(3) The practice of engineering or land surveying by a person on property he or she\nleases or owns unless:\n(a) The practice involves the public safety, health, or welfare; or\n(b) The land surveying relates to the location or determination of any existing or\nproposed land boundaries;\n(4) An engineer or land surveyor engaged solely as an officer or employee of a privately\nowned public utility or of a business entity engaged in interstate commerce as\ndefined in the Interstate Commerce Act (24 Stat. 379) as amended;\n(5) A licensed architect who engages in the practice of engineering incident to the\npractice of architecture; or\n(6) The practice of engineering related solely to the design or fabrication of\nmanufactured products.
