{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-322.110","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 322.110","heading":"Licensure -- Designations -- Rights associated with license.","body":"(1) The board shall issue a license authorizing the practice of engineering or land\nsurveying to any applicant who has met the respective requirements set forth in this\nchapter.\n(2) All licenses issued under this subsection shall be signed by the chairman and the\nsecretary of the board, under the seal of the board. Each license shall bear the full\nname of the licensee, the license number, and one (1) of the following designations:\n(a) \"Professional Engineer\";\n(b) \"Professional Land Surveyor\";\n(c) \"Professional Engineer, Inactive\";\n(d) \"Professional Engineer, Retired\";\n(e) \"Professional Land Surveyor, Inactive\"; or\n(f) \"Professional Land Surveyor, Retired.\"\n(3) The designations in paragraphs (c), (d), (e), and (f) of subsection (2) of this section\nshall be defined in administrative regulations promulgated by the board.\n(4) (a) A valid professional engineer or professional land surveyor license shall be\nprima facie evidence that the licensee is entitled to all rights, privileges, and\nresponsibilities of a professional engineer or a professional land surveyor.\n(b) A valid license bearing the designation \"inactive\" or \"retired\" shall be prima\nfacie evidence that the licensee is entitled to all rights, privileges, and\nresponsibilities of a professional engineer or prof essional land surveyor,\nexcept the right to practice.","path":["KRS Chapter 322"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=31430","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:17Z","sha256":"74397121adbea5de082f7cde85b6d593c2a32d2fa4f2203c9761310ec5eac348","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-322.100","next":"us-ky/krs-322.120"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
