{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-322.395","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 322.395","heading":"Funding -- Assessment -- Cancellation of contract -- Legal action for","body":"recovery of assistance -- Report.\n(1) Funding for the Kentucky professional engineer and professional land surveyor\nincentive scholarship fund:\n(a) Shall be supplied partly  by funds received from penalties and fines assessed\nby the board pursuant to KRS 322.180;\n(b) Shall be provided by an assessment of five dollars ($5) from each professional\nengineer and professional land surveyor licensure renewal application fee\npayable to the board, the proceeds of which shall be annually allocated to the\nKentucky professional engineer and professional land surveyor incentive\nscholarship fund; and\n(c) May be provided by the board from its budgeted funds.\n(2) (a) The board may cancel any contract entered into under KRS 322.394 if an\napplicant or recipient fails to meet the requirements of KRS 322.394 or the\nadministrative regulations of the board.\n(b) Failure to complete the terms of the contract shall subject the applicant to\nlegal action  for the recovery of all assistance provided, along with the\nattorney's fees and interest at an annual compound rate of eight percent (8%)\nfrom the date of disbursement from the Kentucky professional engineer and\nprofessional land surveyor incentive scholarship fund.\n(3) By August 1 of each year, the board shall submit a report to the Legislative\nResearch Commission for referral to the Interim Joint Committee on Licensing,\nOccupations, and Administrative Regulations relating to the Kentucky professional\nengineer and professional land surveyor incentive scholarship fund. The report shall\ncontain at a minimum the following information for the previous fiscal year:\n(a) The number of scholarships provided;\n(b) The program of study in which the recipients are enrolled;\n(c) The total number of applications;\n(d) The total number of scholarship recipients; and\n(e) The amount awarded to recipients.","path":["KRS Chapter 322"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57228","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:17Z","sha256":"e72c4d2fb97aa9074abbd30c8522eac7100cf4c4a13a43f47d5e0cba13c79d2c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-322.394","next":"us-ky/krs-322.400"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
