{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-322a.045","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 322A.045","heading":"Qualifications for geologist-in-training.","body":"The applicant for certification as a geologist -in-training shall demonstrate the following\nas evidence that he or she is qualified:\n(1) Successful completion of a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours or forty-five (45)\nquarter hours of course work in geology culminating in a baccalaureate or advanced\ndegree in geology, geophysics, geochemistry, or geological or geotechnical\nengineering from an accredited college or university. At the discretion of the board,\ncourses dealing with applied geological science given under the auspices of an\nacademic department other than geology may be considered toward fulfillment of\nthis requirement.\n(2) A passing score on the board's examination in the fundamentals of geology. The\nboard may allow students enrolled in the fina l year of an approved undergraduate\nprogram to take this examination.
