{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-323.404","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 323.404","heading":"Construction of KRS 323.400 to 323.416 and 323.992.","body":"(1) The provisions of KRS 323.400 to 323.416 and 323.992 shall not apply to persons\nlicensed under any other provisions of the Kentucky Revised Statutes, including but\nnot limited to architects, landscape architects, professional engineers, and land\nsurveyors, or students within accredited training programs of these professions.\nNothing in KRS 323.400 to 323.416 or 323.992 shall be construed to limit,\ninterfere, or restrict the practice, descriptions of services, or manner in which these\npersons practice.\n(2) Nothing in KRS 323.400 to 323.416 or 323.992 shall be construed to prohibit or\ninterfere with the ability of a licensed architect, landscape architect, professional\nengineer, or land surveyor to perform those activities that are associated with their\npractices, respectively, as provided under any provisions of the Kentucky Revised\nStatutes.\n(3) Nothing in KRS 323.400 to 323.416 or 323.992 shall be construed to prohibit or\ninterfere with the rendering of interior design services by students enrolled in a\nschool approved by the board, if the students only perform services in accordance\nwith a course of instruction or an assignment from an instructor.\n(4) Nothing in KRS 323.400 to 323.416 or 323.992 shall be construed to prohibit any\narchitect licensed under the  provisions of KRS Chapter 323 from using the title\n\"certified interior designer.\"\n(5) Nothing in KRS 323.400 to 323.416 or 323.992 shall be construed to limit,\ninterfere, or restrict the manner in which home builders, home designers, retailers of\nconsumer products or their employees, certified kitchen designers, certified bath\ndesigners, or certified master kitchen and bath designers offer or provide their\nservices.","path":["KRS Chapter 323"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=31512","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:58:18Z","sha256":"4580bb7e9af95311921c425d154d5ebc2e0705c58da8da4a185dd10634f66abb","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-323.402","next":"us-ky/krs-323.406"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
